Hello, and welcome to Bright Expressions by Splinters Originals!

Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and let me tell y’all a little history behind us, and our products.

Our names our Ed, and Susan White. We are architectural salvage artist based out of the Southwestern Missouri area otherwise known as the Ozarks.

Both my husband, and I are natives of California, but retired to Missouri in 2004 returning to our family roots.
My career focus had been in new home sales, but I always loved working with the interior designers for my model homes. I enjoy designing, and sewing for my home, and family, but its the arts & crafts that truly inspire me!

I grew up in a rural area, and well what does one do when your best friends are a donkey named Susie, and a Joshua tree? You develop one hum dinger of an imagination! In my case I loved to design things. In fact one of my first designs, at the age of eight was a hula skirt made of not grass, but corn husks! I was proud as punch of that little skirt!

My husband is retired Forest service which is where he learned his knowledge of woodworking and wood craft. He loves what he does and it shows!

After a lot of years in the real estate field I retired, and we made the move to Missouri where we sat up shop. I finally felt like I was getting to flex all that imaginative muscle to its fullest! Nothing makes us happier then a productive day in out workshop!

This is a dream come true to be able to do what we love best… CREATE!!.
